Dental, not generic
Notes carry tooth numbers and surfaces, anesthetic type and dose, materials and shades, isolation, findings, and the treatment discussion. Privacy, in one paragraph
Speech-to-text runs on the device, so patient audio is not uploaded or stored. Text is processed under HIPAA safeguards; AI providers operate under a BAA with zero data retention; PHI is never used to train models; U.S. customers' data is stored in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Does CareNotes work with Open Dental?
Yes. On the free tier you copy the finished note and paste it into Open Dental. On Premium, CareNotes reads today's schedule from Open Dental and uploads the signed note straight into the patient's chart. Structured perio charting also uploads directly on Open Dental and Dentrix Ascend.
Is patient audio uploaded?
No. Speech-to-text runs on the device. Audio is not uploaded or stored by CareNotes. Only text is processed to generate the note, under HIPAA safeguards and a BAA, with PHI never used to train models. Details are on the Trust Center.
